When The Philadelphia returned to the USA, she docked in New York, Philadelphia or Norfolk.
In November 1943 my Dad married my Mom on a short pass to Forest City, PA
Mom waited in either Philadelphia or Norfolk for the ship to come in. They met other Navy couples and families in those cities.

This is when my Dad Frank Paukstis joined the Philly crew after marrying my mother on a 3 day pass (Nov 6, 1943)
