USS Philadelphia - CL-41

August 1945 - Philadelphia escorted the Augusta with President Truman aboard to the Potsdam Conference
On the return trip one day out of Norfolk, Truman reported the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

While visiting Potsdam, Germany in October 2015 I discovered the following photo as part of the exhibit.
I think the photo in Dad's album looks a lot better. Thanks Dad for always labeling your pictures.
