San Juan, Puerto Rico (2023)
Index
Miami-Panama-Miami
This is our first visit to Puerto Rico - Approaching San Juan Harbor
We took a walking tour of the Old City

A Statue of Christopher Columbus greeted us

Our first destination is the fort on the hill

Castillo San Felipe del Morro
(Castle of Saint Philip), commonly known
as El Morro (The Promontory),
a large fortress and citadel overlooking
the historic district of Old San Juan

Looking down from the fort at "Shanty Town"
Looking through an observation port in the Fort
From the fort you can see our ship and the entire city
Today there are 2 ships in the Harbor
Looking down to Columbus' Statue and Marketplace

A balcony for single women in the olden days
It's a long, steep walk
back down to the harbor

The oldest house in San Juan
Governor's House
Memorial Statue
In the Square decorated for Christmas
Eileen didn't want this "guy"
to be lonely

Back at the Port
