Puerto Limon, Costa Rica (2023)
Tortuguero Canals
Index
Miami-Panama-Miami
We docked very early in the morning
and were bused to our excursion boat

As we sailed down the canal, some wildlife was easy to spot
Our guide directed our attention to an alligator just below the water line
He is very well hidden

Touring the canals is very popular and
we passed other docks
Sloths are native to Costa Rica, but are difficult to see in their natural environment
because they curl up into a furry ball
A lazy lizard basking in the sun
Still looking for alligators
More scenes along the canal
Back on the bus traveling through the countryside
There was still a long way to drive after the entrance to the Veragua Rainforest Nature Preserve
