We arrived in Rabat on Sunday March 17th and it was obvious that they were having a special celebration
March 17th is St Patrick's Day but this celebration was for the Feast of St Joseph on March 19th

The Catacomb of St Paul is the most well known
but there are others as well which were developed
from the 3rd to 6th centuries and include tombs
for more than 1000 bodies

Church of St Paul

While I couldn't identify St Paul's island in the distance landscape from the wall of Mdina,
Rabat does have "St Paul's Grotto" where he is pointing to the location of his shipwreck
While hiding in Malta, St Paul met Publius, a wealthy Roman, whom he converted to Christianity.
There is a church of St Publius in Valletta
While there is no evidence
that these Roman Ruins
were the home of Publius,
this home on the border of Rabat
is indicative of how a wealthy Roman
would have lived
