This was our 3rd time visiting Vienna,
but the first with our long-time friends

We toured Schoenbrun Palace

and walked the beautiful grounds.

We visited the landmark sites - St Stephen's Cathedral

and the monument in thanksgiving for the end of the plague

We toured the famous opera house

Classical music is celebrated all over the city

but we didn't expect to find it here!

The City Park was lovely

Sculpture recreated the medieval city

We had dinner at a traditional Viennese restaurant

where I was invited to join in the entertainment (yodeling, seriously!)

This monastery has a plain exterior

but a rich interior

Then when you least expect it, you come upon a touch of USA

We've seen many different sides of Vienna in previous trips

Many not on regular tourist itineraries
