We were greeted by musicians who played popular songs of the period
We met them later in other roles
The fort's many cannons and mortars controlled the waters below

We returned in the evening for a nighttime artillery demonstration
No pictures were taken because of the complete darkness
That is Mount Defiance in the background, another historical location
A rifle demonstration preceeded the night firing of cannons
Early the next morning we checked out the ferry that we would take to Vermont the next day
The King's Garden
This farm was recontructed as it was used by the troops to raise their own food
