we approached, we can see that it is a two tiered waterfall |

the 20th century speculators attempted to utilize Gullfoss to
create electricity changing it forever This was not done. It was conserved through the efforts of Sigridur Tomasdottir, the daughter of one of the original owners At one point she even threatened to throw herself into the waterfall A stone memorial to Sigridur, located about the falls, depicts her profile |
